MARBLE INLAY TABLE TOP

Marble “Inlay work” is the ancient art which can be seen in Taj Mahal. It is a preserved traditional art which can be found in many Mughal monuments too.

This was known as PIETRA DURA. Pietra dura is called Parchin Kari or Parchin Kari in the Indian Subcontinent. (Pietra= Stone,Dura= Hard) The Italians used a classic art form.
From 1630 onwards PIETRA DURA saw on moveable, used in small kinds of stuff as decorating panels, dining table tops, coffee table tops, floorings which are used in restaurants,
corridors, villas, home decoration. These arts were adopted by Mughal.



                                               Varieties of Stones Used in Inlay Work 

Marble inlay is a traditional form of art, where the work starts by choosing of designs. After a design has been selected, the “craftsman” sets the colors.
This is done by selected raw material, which is hand-picked by the experienced master craftsman.
We bring the most and beautiful varieties of semi-precious stones, used to manufacture the inlay work. The selection of stones is done for the requirements of design pattern and to put a value to inlay artifacts.
Semi-precious stones are a symbol of luxury status in interiors. The variety of colors and patterns are found in a stone allow for a broad palette of possibilities.

Following is a list of the Semiprecious Stones:


                                                                     1. Paua shell 
Paua is related to abalone stone, connate and exclusive to the cold, blue waters of New Zealand coastline. Paua is the greatest of the best known 140 style of Haliotidae worldwide. The color change from greens and pinks to purples and blues and even gold or crimson tone and the vibrant changing rainbows are natural.

                                                                  2. Lapis Lazuli 
Lapis Lazuli is a gemstone of the type that may directly out of the Arabian Nights: deep blue with the golden incorporation of pyrites which shimmer like little stars. The ‘stone of azure', is also called, is mostly found in the risky terrains of Afghanistan valley and some parts of Chile. The main component of lapis is lazurite, a blue silicate mineral composed of sodium, aluminum, silicon, oxygen, sulfur, and chlorine.

                                                                   3. Malachite 
Malachite is the mineral of green basic carbonate of copper occurring in crystals. it's an opaque stone known as the ‘Peacock Stone', The color varieties from light to dark green, sometimes sparkling. Malachite stone is found in the Ural Mountains of Russia and Africa. It’s a famous stone in the Native American Southwestern jewelry.

                                                                    4. Carnelian 
Carnelian is a type of silica mineral, chalcedony colored by impurities of iron oxide. it is found in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Brazil, Peru but greatest in the amount of the carnelian comes from India.


                                                                      5. Turquoise 
It is one of the finest blue colors which are turquoise and it is found country Persia and Egypt in the world. It shines sky blue colors and turquoise is one of the most popular trend colors in the world of fashion and crafts.

                                                                     6. Tiger Eye 
Tiger eye is made up of silicon dioxide. It is the type of chalcedony, with a yellow-brown color, transparent. It is found in Brazil, U.S, India, Canada, and Burma. It is the inclusion of croicidolite that causes a cat’s eye effect known as Chatoyancy.

                                                                     7. Jasper 
Jasper is a darkly and fine variety composed commonly of chalcedony, microcrystalline quartz, is composed of other minerals, which gives it those patterns. Jasper is found in the United States, California, and Washington. It is usually yellow, brown or red in color, rarely blue.
