                                                          MARBLE INLAY TABLE TOP Marble “Inlay work” is the ancient art which can be seen in Taj Mahal. It is a preserved traditional art which can be found in many Mughal monuments too. This was known as PIETRA DURA. Pietra dura is called Parchin Kari or Parchin Kari in the Indian Subcontinent. (Pietra= Stone,Dura= Hard) The Italians used a classic art form. From 1630 onwards PIETRA DURA saw on moveable, used in small kinds of stuff as decorating panels, dining table tops, coffee table tops, floorings which are used in restaurants, corridors, villas, home decoration. These arts were adopted by Mughal.                                                 Varieties of Stones Used in Inlay Work  Marble inlay is a traditional form of art, where the work starts by choosing of designs. After a design has been selected, the “craftsman” sets the colors. This is done by selected raw material, which is hand-picked by the experienced mas
